


Rooted + Rising: A cultural workshop for kama'āina youth
Designed for young people preparing to embrace new chapters, from middle school to early adulthood.
Before stepping into a new season of life - whether it’s college, a new school, or simply growing into the next version of yourself - this retreat style workshop offers a grounding experience of culture and creativity.
Guests will:
Participate in foundations of hula and learn simple choreography of a popular mele
Fabric lei & pua making to adorn papale
Guided and expressive journaling
Create a signature blend at our scent bar
Nourishing refreshments provided
Grounded in culture and creativity, this workshop strengthens heritage while rising into what’s next.
At House of Hinu, we are committed to supporting young people in their creative and cultural journeys. We are offering one scholarship for this workshop.
To apply, please submit a two-page essay or a 2-minute video answering one of the following questions:
